Story of Mother:
Sati Mata, daughter of King Daksha of Adi Satyuga, is called Shakti. His name became Shakti due to Shiva. Although his real name was Dakshayani. She is also called Sati because of her self-immolation in the Yagya Kunda. She was later born as Parvati. Parvati got the name because she was the son of Parvataraja, the king of the mountains. Was a princess.
With the reluctance of his father, he married Shiva, a yogi living in the Himalayan region. In a yagna, when Daksha did not invite Sati and Shiva, Mother Sati reached her father's yagna despite Shiva's refusal, but Daksha spoke abusive things about Shiva in front of Sati. Sati did not tolerate all this and sacrificed her life by jumping into the sacrificial fire.
On hearing this news, Shiva sent his commander Virabhadra, who beheaded Daksha. After this, Shiva got angry by holding Sati's body on his head and wandering on the earth. During this period, wherever the body parts or ornaments of Sati fell, Shaktipeeths were later built. Where the organ or ornament that fell, that Shaktipeeth got its name. This does not mean that many mothers were born.
Mata Parvati killed the demons of Shumbh-Nishumbha, Mahishasura etc.
Mother's form:
The mother has a sword in one hand and a lotus flower in the other. There are Pitambara robes, crowns on the head, white colored earth tilak on the head and necklaces of beads on the neck. The lion is always with mother.
Mother's Prayer:
The prayer that came out of our heart. Neither mantras, nor tantras nor prayers. Prayer is the truth. There are many verses in the Puranas of Mother's Prayer or Praise.
Mother's Shrine:
Shiva's abode is Mount Kailash, while Mata's abode is near Manasarovar. Where the temple of Dakshayani Mata is built. The mother is sitting there.
